I got two anons at the same time and one is disgustingly fluffy, and the other one is this. Two types of people in this world, amirite?

Okay so when Felix is on the brink of death shortly after birth, he does two things:

1) He starts deliriously reminiscing about some of his fondest memories, because his life is literally flashing before his eyes.

2) He is uncannily honest about something small and innocuous, in a way that he would never be were he fully awake and conscious of himself.

So he’s basically half conscious, lying in bed, staring up at the ceiling. Sylvain is clutching his hand and trying to hold back tears, and finally Felix is like, “Hey Syl… D’you remember our wedding? And the garland you wore on your head?”

And, in spite of himself, Sylvain smiles a little when he answers, “Yeah I remember. You said it looked ridiculous.”

“I lied. You were never more handsome.”

And Sylvain just loses it, because he just knows that Felix is going to die. His small smile immediately falls and he’s sobbing into Felix’s chest. Meanwhile all of the doctors and healers crowd around and just start throwing everything they have at Felix in the hopes that he’ll be able to pull through.
