lol i’ve been calling it an AU bc buck goes off and joins SWAT but really its more of a canon divergence.
basically after the lawsuit the team is so awful to him (eddie in particular) that buck can’t take all the rejection and heartbreak and resigns in order to join SWAT and be a complete badass. fire!fam finds out on the field and make it their mission to get bucks forgiveness, but swat!fam doesn’t make things easy (they’re all hella overprotective over their boy)
