Both employed by the Strategic Scientific Reserve (frontrunner of S.H.I.E.L.D), Agent Blaine Anderson and Agent Sebastian Smythe are as different as night and day. They are both scarred by the war, but while Sebastian is the agency’s golden boy and lauded field agent, Blaine’s most often stuck behind a desk due to his disability. When Sam Evans, an old war buddy of Blaine’s, gets accused of international arms smuggling, he starts investigating on his own. After all, as long as he doesn’t have anyone’s reports ready, he’s completely invisible.
